No noob buff upon first log in - moved for mods

So you start a new char and look at your buff bar it shows no icons.

 

you run around and animals attack like there is no aggro range buff.

 

you either have to log completely out of world or play until it belated crashes on you then relog and the buff icons are there and the time has been going the whole time.

 

in otherwords needs fixed.

I'm pretty sure the buff isn't actually applied until the first complete (leave world) log out, otherwise animals wouldn't come running out of the forest etc after you. might be client or what ever but think it needs looked into.

Ive looked quite a bit into this.   If you played on another server and switched, but have already used the week, you in fact do not get another free week.    Not sure this was intended but just my observation from digging into the logs.

no this is referring to the 24 hour noob buff icons. using a new character on a server (Wyvern) and using an exsisting character on a different server (Wyvern).

I'll update with the crash log once I crash (about a hour or so maybe?) then will test range on spider with noob buff icons showing once i log back in. (i could just log out "leave world" and back in but then I won't get the crash log)

additionally the timer is running on the noob buff (because i know and seen it before)

 

this is the most current error i could find in my folders but it's from 12/30/15 not sure if I just had relogged ect and not allowed it to crash. or it's going to be the crash from the belated crash. granted for some reason this doesn't crash this time. but i'm guessing it will.

do you guys see what i'm saying? while yes the new player time still goes on, I don't think you are actually affected by it until you fully re-log once.

 

doing the medium wound test now to see if it heals (from the noob healing)

yep. the medium (which should heal from the noob buff) got worse. i.e. Not affected by the noob range, healing, or probably even the food.
