Posted March 12, 2016 My first white horse after all the gray babies was called Tess Gray (yes, the irony lol). She was a three speeder and I kept her as my riding horse long after I got five speeders They are very special. Congrats.

Posted March 12, 2016 Those whites are quite rare, though, aren't they? I am yet to see one on my deed.
Posted March 12, 2016 True, those white horses seem to be the more rare ones to be born and they are quite pretty. I did come up with 2 white foals recently in WU but I guess the white mare contributed to that. =Ayes=
Posted March 12, 2016 i have tons of whites, as 3 of my breeders are white horses, what i want is the New ones...can't seem to get em
Posted March 12, 2016 as long as you breed white steeds with white stallions you will get white foals most of the time (like 95%) same goes for any other of the old colors cant confirm that for the 3 new colors yet, but i would think it will work in the same way for them

Posted March 13, 2016 A 'bit rare', the white ones, in the sense that if you don't have white breeders yet, it seems to be harder to get those out of breeding random other colours then getting a pair of any other (old) color. Once you breed yourself a white female though, things start getting easier until it's about just as easy as the other (again: old, don't know about new yet) colors. All under the disclaimer 'for as far as I have experienced' of course.

They gave me a white foal, named GoldenGolden (just for the lolz). On Pristine, new horse models seem to be a myth. And more than that, we don't have wild horses spawning in more than a year and a half now, just bison and sheep. Now if we could get some blood bay bison (or maybe some blue sheep) to compensate for the broken spawn mechanics ..
Posted March 13, 2016 I have a couple white horses on deed. I believe gold are more rare than white. I have yet to get a new type from my breeding efforts, but I'm hoping for a blood bay. Not interested in a horse that looks like a milking cow (piebald pinto).

Ok, so youve got one single sample to prove the opposite of what i said ? i said it works like that 95% of the time, not 100....there ist always an exception when youre breeding, be it a bad trait, a speed trait that has been exchanged for say...fighing fiercely....or the color (as that is just ANOTHER trait) but all in all the majority of animals that have the exact same traits will deliver the same traits in their offspring as well. Posted March 13, 2016 .. I guess you missed the "for the lolz" part in the end.

Posted March 13, 2016 As far as I know Wurmpedia is correct: Quote The horse's color from birth is determined based on 1/3 by the mother, 1/3 by the father, and 1/3 by random So, the chances of breeding a white foal from white parents should be 66.7%. http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Breeding
Posted March 13, 2016 actually it should have been 66.7 + 1/5th of 33% (73.33) total before the new foals were introduced so yeah, 95% were a bit off, but the point i made in my 1st posting still stands
