Assuming mentioning pizza and Wurm in the same context is safe now? Edited February 24, 2016 by Klaa

Posted February 24, 2016 +1 Also other veggies would be nice. expand cooking a bit. jerky, pemmican, trail mix for hunting trips or travel. pizza, better sandwiches. specialty foods for small bonus to certain skills. Eagle Eye Stew ql50+ (Made from Carrots, potatoes, Fish, Onions, Basil, Parsely, Garlic, water) gives +1-5 bonus to archery. (just made that off the top of my head but you get the idea, did not mean to derail the thread)

Really though, dehydrating and smoking meats was about the only way to preserve them back in the medieval (and beyond) age, unless you wanted to use a tonne (not even joking) of salt. Jerky would be pretty cool. It could decay even slower than regular cooked meat when outside of an FSB, and still hold the same amount of nutrition. It should definitely be more time consuming to make than cooked meat, however. Edited February 24, 2016 by Slickshot

More craft-ables drying rack / smoker = meat or fish + salt for jerky - long lasting, mid nutrition, higher thirst, slower hunger dehydrator = fruit + nuts for trailmix - long lasting, mid nutrition, faster hunger, a minor stam regen boost Or something of the sort.
