Server Update 19/05/2018

 

CA Help replaced with Help channel connected to discord

  • CA Help channel has been removed, all CAs have been summarily executed for slackerdom
  • New channel called "Help" added, like Global it is shared between all servers and connected to discord (#help)
  • Please refrain from general chatter in Help channel so that the questions don't get lost in the noise

Other chat changes

  • Added "Info" tab with links to the website and discord. It will also be used for even announcements.
  • Deeds founding and disbanding, unique spawning and dying are now broadcast to global and discord.

Bug Fixes

  • Building from cart will now ignore partial-weight material
  • Ladders can now be planned while mounted (like other floors/roofs)
  • Town portals will no longer remain planted when deactivated
    • This is not retroactive, if you see an inactive portal that can't be loaded - report it to me

Server update 09/06/2018

  • All archaeology statues now require 40 fragments to assemble
  • New item: crystal of eternal flame
    • Can be created from 20 fragments dropped by fire cats, hell chicks, lava fiends, lava spiders, hell hounds and hell scorps
    • Using the crystal on lamps, lanterns, forges, ovens, etc. will light them up instantly and fuel them magically to the maximum
    • Using on other items will heat them up to glowing hot instantly
  • Crystal of permafrost and crystal of eternal flame have a new model and special effect when placed in world, and are now considered decorations
  • Added achievements for killing hell chicks and firecats
  • Added green garden gnome to traders, old "garden gnome" renamed to "red garden gnome"
    • The color refers to the hat, not the vest
    • Red ones hold a shovel, green ones hold a scythe
  • Valentines can now be planted, will no longer decay in inventory or when planted on deed and can be repaired
  • Fixed archeology logs showing time since founded instead of time since abandoned.

Regarding new vanilla features

  • Item Placement (on tables)
    • The new vanilla system was fully integrated with the existing mod
    • You can place items using the mouse with new Place action, or the old way with "Put on top"
    • You can move placed items with normal push/pull/turn etc hotkeys regardless of how they were placed
    • All other features from the mod should continue working as is
  • Archaeology changes (journals)
    • The archaeology journals will continue to work as they did without changes (read Archaeology changes for details)
  • Creature Cages
    • Creature cages are unchanged from vanilla but the token/redeem system for transporting animals will stay in as well. You can choose and use whichever you prefer.

Server Update - 06/07/2018

  • Crystal of Eternal Flame fragments will now drop more often in general, and have a guaranteed drop from champion lava/hell creatures
  • Added 6 different decorative fern plants, craftable with woodscrap + mixed grass
  • Added the anniversary champagne and knapsacks that were given out in WO back in 2016
    • They come in random rarities and the knapsack in random materials
    • The exact way to get them are left to the players to discover :P

Server update - 13/07/2018

 

Added new mechanic: Coalesced Magic

  • Added new coalesced magic items  that can be used on an enchanted item to improve the power of one of the enchants (selected at random)
  • Coalesced magic items come in 6 tiers:
    • speck of magic - improves a random enchant by 5 up to [70]
    • mote of magic - improves a random enchant by 3 up to [90]
    • sliver of magic - improves a random enchant by 1 up to [95]
    • shard of magic - improves a random enchant by 1 up to [100]
    • fragment of magic - improves a random enchant by 1 up to [125]
    • essence of magic - improves a random enchant by 1 up to [150]
  • Lower tier items can be combined together to create higher tier ones (e.g. 2x mote of magic =>sliver of magic)
  • Higher tier items can be used to improve the power to levels not reachable by normal casting
  • Coalesced magic can be obtained from killing monsters, the drop chance and tier of the reward depend on the difficulty of the monster and channeling skill
  • Coalesced magic will also be awarded to all participants upon completion of a mission, with higher difficulty missions awarding better items

Misc fixes

  • Fixed vanilla bug that caused mission progress and completion to not update in the UI
  • Archeology journal and reports
    • Fixed incorrectly appearing message "If you had an archaeology journal..."
    • Fixed reports showing founder name instead of last mayor

  • Rare (and higher) coalesced magic items will now add 2 more enchant power per level of rarity.
    • e.g. rare sliver will add 3 power, supreme mote will add 7.
  • Fixed bounties for custom creatures (firecats and hell chicken)
  • Fixed incorrect message when merging coalesced magic items
  • Fixed knapsack equipping weirdness
  • Fixed open fireplaces not being correctly lit by crystal of eternal flame.

Server Update - 11/08/2018

  • Vessel spell removed from Libila priests, instead they can now fill gems by using "Drain" action
    • To use activate an empty gem and click a creature or your own body
    • Draining converts some amount of health from the target into a stored favor, success chance and power is based on your channeling skill and the difficulty of the creature
    • Draining can kill a creature if it causes enough damage, but will never kill the caster if using on yourself
    • Cannot be used on tamed, dominated, cared-for or hitched creatures or against any creature you would not normally be able to attack
  • Drain Health spell damage rebalanced
    • Base damage increased by 600% but now scales with natural armor of the target
    • Expect to see more damage against weaker creatures and less against stronger ones
    • Can now damage uniques
    • Healing component is unchanged
  • Smite spell damage rebalanced
    • Will cause variable damage based on your channeling skill, the difficulty of the creature and RNG
  • Vesseled gems now show how much favor they hold in the name
  • Fixed taxidermy not handling hell horse colors correctly

  • Fixed unintentional suicides from draining yourself
  • Draining yourself is no longer affected by deed permissions
  • Overflow items from praying with full inventory will no longer drop to the ground, instead they are immediately destroyed

  • Using a crystal of eternal flames on ore, unfired clay items, etc. will instantly transform the item to the lump/pottery/etc
    • Does not apply to food items
  • Crystal of eternal flame is no longer usable on item in bulk bins or crates
  • Fixed coalesced magic items to not try improve runes on items as those don't really have a power value
  • Fixed wonky spacing in coalesced magic examine message
  • Fixed enchant improvement message from coalesced magic items to use consistent rounding with vanilla

WU 1.8 Update!

Additional Changes

  • Boats are now significantly faster. Vynora priest bonus to boat speed should be more noticeable
  • New item: Altar of Youth
    • When planted on a deed will slowly rejuvenate all old branded animals bringing them back to "mature" age
    • Needs to be charged with arcane shards, current charge can be seen by examining. Quality affects charging efficiency
    • Created and improved with jewelry smithing and new electrum alloy
  • Village tokens can now be moved by the mayor
    • Activate deed paper and right click ground at the desired location
    • There is no cooldown on moving and no cost
    • Tokens cannot be moved into houses, under bridges or underground
    • Tokens can be moved closer than 5 tiles to the border, but doing so might require buying additional tiles next time the village is resized
  • Village tokens can now be dyed
  • Arcane shards can now be dyed (this will affect emitted light color, not the color of the token itself, like lamps in vanilla)
  • Unique skulls can now be dyed

Server Update - 30/09/2019 (which i forgot to post earlier)

 

  • New creature: Dark Worg
    • Spawn on rift islands, and rarely from lairs in the rest of the map

    • Aggressive normally, but not to players with 50 Animal Taming and Husbandry, not affected by Fo passive

    • Worgs spawned on rift island might randomly become aggressive regardless of bonuses

    • Can be dominated or tamed, led with a rope and ridden or hitched to a cart

    • Require 35 Body Control to ride

    • Can be bred and have speed traits, randomly generated names

    • Can't equip saddles, barding or horseshoes but speed traits have stronger effect to compensate

    • Can eat meat or corpses, do not graze

  • Other Changes
    • Wild Growth spell will now give 1-6 (based on cast power) extra sprouts to the caster's inventory per affected tree/bush in the cast area

      • If inventory is full no extra sprouts will be created

    • Crystal of Eternal Flame can now be used on already-hot items

    • They are now considered animals so they can be tamed and will be passive towards Fo priests with 60 faith
    • Their base CR was slightly reduced

Server Update – 19/10/2018

  • Redeeming an animal token that’s branded to a different village will now remove the brand
  • Examining an animal token will now show the full examine text
  • Unicorn random name generator has been restored to its former glory
  • All masks are now dyeable

Ominous gravestones have appeared across the land.
Treats (and tricks!) await brave adventurers that can defeat the monstrosities guarding them!

 

Note: Client modlauncher + serverpacks mod is required to see the special halloween mobs.

  • Halloween mobs can no longer be rebirthed or dominated (it doesn’t work right because of their special AI)
  • Ominous gravestones will repair the packed tiles around them when disappearing

Server Update – 09/11/2018

  • New spell: Feeding Hand
    • Available to all priests at 30 faith, can only be cast on food storage bins
    • FSBs with this spell will automatically keep creatures around them fed if they contain the right type of food
    • Radius is based on cast power – 3×3 at 20+; 5×5 at 40+; 7×7 at 60+; 9×9 at 80+ and so on
    • Grazing animals will not be fed to prevent food waste
  • Fixed items not stacking correctly when putting damaged items into bulk containers that sort by QL
  • Changed moving item from bulk container to normal container so it's not limited by player inventory space or carry weight
  • Sorting in BSBs and FSBs can now be toggled on and off

Server Update - 23/11/2018

  • Added Apocalypse Order graphics to heraldic certificate - can be used on tabards, flags, banners, tall banners, wagons and military tents
  • Feeding Hand can now feed grazing animals that are underground or on tiles that they can't graze on
  • Libilla priests can now "Repossess" zombies that have been untamed or went rogue
  • Ominous gravestones event is over, the ones already existing will remain until investigated but no new ones will spawn

Merry Christmas!

 

Santa and julbords are now available at each spawn town and you can get your presents!

 

The present for this year is a Evergreen Twig - a special twig imbued with magical abilities to change the landscape.

 

You can use it on a "natural" tile to change it and other tiles in a 5x5 area to either: grass, flowers, steppe, moss, tundra, kelp or reed. (The later 2 only on underwater tiles)

To select which tile it creates right click it in your inventory and choose "Settings".

The twig will not affect roads, trees, rock, etc and if used on deed requires the terraforming permission.

The twig has unlimited uses and no cooldown.

Server Update – 07/02/2019 (which i forgot to post earlier :P)

  • You can now preserve food items using beeswax
    • Preserved food items are no longer edible or usable in recipes but turn into decorations instead
    • Only items that can be eaten or used for cooking and are not liquids can be preserved
    • They can be planted/secured and will not go into piles
    • They won’t decay on deed and decay veeeery slowly in general
    • They can be painted
    • Quality and rarity of the original item is preserved

 

Server Update – 20/02/2019

  • Fixed bug that allowed Libila drain power to be used on players and NPCs on otherland (HotS) server
  • Libila priests now have access to Mend spell
