Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) Basically making cheese gain ql akin to wine. Granted the process can differ depending on the type of milk used and end result desired, for example introducing molds or prepared cultures. Time period can range from a few days to years. Then there's hard and soft cheeses... Only works when not inside of a food bin or crate. Perhaps even require the cheese to be wrapped in wax (bees!) or cheese paper (papyrus?) before it will "ripen". Edited February 3, 2016 by Klaa
Posted February 3, 2016 Also, it should have to be "aged" in a cave!
Posted February 4, 2016 I'm not sure I think the quality should change. But as it ages it changes to a different kind of cheese. That would be awesome!

Posted March 28, 2021 (edited) +1 to all the above suggestions except maybe forcing us to age it in caves ? Maybe provide a bonus to aging in caves but dont restrict it to caves only. Edited March 28, 2021 by Berms
