Battle move spamming

Recommended Posts

I just attempted a 1v1 with Strah and while we were fighting I ended up not noticing him target low (Generally low attacks means they want to slow you and stun you) so of course I ended up stunned as I should have, now after the first 5 seconds I started to wonder if it would end...nope 10 seconds later I started to panic maybe it's some bug then 14+ seconds into it I just move out of the situation. I've checked my logs and this is what I find and it's a endless loop of stuns. Dragontail + 1 swing, Dragontail+1swing.... Is this intended?

[21:05:42] Strah targets your lowercenter parts.

[21:05:42] Strah tries to cut you but you raise your shield and parry.

[21:05:42] Strah cuts you deadly hard in the left calf and harms it.

[21:05:43] You cut Strah but he raises his shield and parries.

[21:05:50] Strah whips you hard in the body and hurts it.

[21:05:50] Strah freezes you.

[21:05:50] Strah hits you with a Dragontail in a sensitive spot. You lose stamina!

The "swings" happen because actions "stack" the one swing that would have happened during that time, same effect is from shield bashing too

The reason special moves can stunlock is because unlike shield bashing, being already stunned doesn't block performing the move so the next one is already going while your stun is wearing off

Seems broken imo, but maybe it is intended... we can hope not but I'll pay more attention to low attacks in the future.

well its not really broken. do 3 or 4 and you are depleting all of your stam.

opportunity cost, yo. stun or more stam? >.>

Prehaps you have low stamina? I can do it for quite some time and most likely kill any player who didn't escape before my stamina runs out with a huge axe.

It's quite easy to stun lock an opponent that is inexperienced or just oblivous however near impossible to do it to a player that is experience/ paying attention (in a 1v1). All that said even against silly opponents as mentioned the cost of stamina used to stun lock a person in a 1v1 means you'll more than likely run out of stam before you can kill the player meaning it's only useful in ganks of 1v2 or 1v3 or more.

So as far as I know it's an intended part of the game mechanics and an important aspect of the PvP mechanics with in group fights (avoiding stun lock)

Just a reminder to those who's posts were removed;

Keep on topic, this isn't to discuss PvP mechanics in a hostile manner or go at each other.

If it doesn't pertain to the reported bug, take it elsewhere, thank you.
