PVP Raid Ban rule clarification

Recommended Posts

Hello, can I have a GM clarify the

"-You may enter enemy kingdom influence or deed perimeters as long you are passing through or for PvP, you must abide by the rules otherwise"

Rule in Raid ban directive. How long can a player sit or ride around someones deed perimeter quote on quote "looking for pvp", when they are actually scouting? Basically, what is actually considered by saying passing through, or looking for pvp. The reason I ask is I have seen different members of different kingdoms come into our kingdom, right near our deed borders sitting there for 30 minutes to an hour in this current ban, and past ones.
Thanks.

scouting isn't raiding, get over yourself.

if you have a problem go kill them as its a raid ban not a pvp ban.

you should be complaining if little timmy and friends roll up with a few catapults during a raid ban however.

The passing through or PvP is more for deeds, but if you look under the Raid ban rules there is nothing that says you are disallowed scouting.  If someone sits outside of your deed for a few hours doing nothing during a raid ban they are breaking no rules.  Only a PvP ban at this time restricts scouting

Also, these rules only applied starting with the previous Raid ban that ended earlier today as they did not exist prior

Real question:

-You may enter enemy kingdom influence or deed perimeters as long you are passing through or for PvP, you must abide by the rules otherwise

Restricting it to "deed perimeters" doesnt take into account deeds that are placed without any building/terraforming simply to block influence or for other reasons.

once a few months ago during a one of the bans, someone mistakenly ran across an enemy deed that was just a 5x5 with a token in the middle of a road and pre-emptively submitted a ticket to explain the situation.

also, what if it's a deed that's been catapulted already and maybe one of the dirt walls are down?  can you step onto the deed and PVP as long as you dont catapult/destroy/terraform in any way?

are you able to walk onto an enemy DEED (not just perimeter) for PVP?

and what about lockpicking on deed vs. off deed, are either allowed?

whatever the answers are, would be good to have it clarified.

also, if the rule is you cant walk onto an enemy deed no matter what, can you just run out of local in your own influence, plop a deed, and hang out in your magical bubble of safety?

+1 to everything Naio asked, very good questions that should be clarified. I would also personally like for the planting of deeds to be disallowed, not sure how much support that would get, but it seems like a silly thing not to include, all things considered.

Could easily plant and create a wardeed during the time some raid bans may last, which doesn't seem very fair seeing as people are able to build it in complete safety, without that initial weakness that creating a deed of such might have.

build in safety as the defenders can without need to worry about the attack? If there it is not allowed to plant a deed and build it up there should not be allowed to rebuild.

Gave up on trying to interpret the rules ages ago.

Orange GM text = sit on deed and you will be fine.

Not really, especially in the context you're obviously directing to. The planting and complete building up of a new deed in safety is different than repairing a deed which was the reason for the raid ban in the first place. You know exactly why that deed was damaged.
Can you please not try to start another argument here Wulfgarr.

Are you still claiming that exploits were used to tear down your deed?

After wasting everyone's time for a week, and who knows how many hours of gms and dev's time you wasted with your tall tails.

The rules were clarified to better reflect that it is ok to enter enemy deeds during a Raid ban only.

If there is a clear path between you and your enemy on deed, feel free to fight them.  PvP itself is allowed

At this moment consider lockpicking to be disallowed for both PvP and Raid bans.  There may be situations where you follow someone into a house off deed that unlocked as they entered, it is wise to not get yourself trapped in this situation
