Wurm Online - PvP/Raid Ban Directives

These directives are in effect anytime Wurm Staff must intervene on any or all PvP servers.

A repeating notice is activated ingame within the "Event" window, and a notice is placed at the top of the WurmOnline Forums, both explaining the situation.

Failure to abide by these directives can lead to partial or permanent removal from the game as determined necessary by the GM Team.

 

Full PvP Ban

- The general intent of a Full PvP Ban, is to freeze a server(s) and its players/activities, as a bug has hindered the ability of players to properly defend their persons and/or deeds.

  • Yes, building/installing/repairing/destroying/improving/terraforming/collapsing/mining open/surface mining on yours/allied, deeds and perimeter areas
  • No, PvP combat for any reason (Friendly sparring between same kingdom members within their kingdom deed/perimeter areas is allowed)
  • No, combat against enemy Tower Guards/Templars ondeed/offdeed for any reason
  • No, founding of new deeds and new kingdoms at any location
  • No, changing your deed/perimeter size
  • No, entering enemy influence/deed/perimeter areas for any reason
  • No, deed draining
  • No, building/installing/repairing/destroying/improving/lockpicking ondeed/offdeed structures/fences/minedoors at any location, except within deed/perimeter areas of yours/allied deeds
  • No, terraforming or mining(collapsing/mining open/surface mining) at any location, except within deed/perimeter areas of yours/allied deeds
  • No, lockpicking enemy vehicles offdeed/offperimeter anywhere
  • No, lockpicking enemy vehicles ondeed/onperimeter anywhere
  • No, construction of new guard towers at any location
  • No, destroying enemy guard towers
  • No, Battlecamp conquering
  • No, Roaming Depot looting(Defiance)
  • No, Artifact recharging
  • No, Unique slayings
  • No, Rift event participation
  • No, ALL actions outside any kingdom's(including your own) influence, except travel
  • No, usage of non-allied accounts to bypass the above restrictions
  • Missions and trades abide by the above restrictions
  • "Allied" refers to deeds game-mechanically allied between eachother, NOT informal alliances between factions

 

Raid Ban

- The general intent of a Raid Ban, is to freeze kingdoms/deeds, as a bug has hindered the ability of one or more groups to properly defend, expand, or adjust their territory or deeds, while still allowing players to enjoy PvP combat.

  • Yes, PvP combat ondeed/offdeed, provided the following restrictions are adhered to
  • Yes, combat against enemy Tower Guards/Templars ondeed/offdeed, provided the following restrictions are adhered to
  • Yes, entering enemy influence/deed/perimeter areas, only for PvP combat, provided the following restrictions are adhered to
  • Yes, building/installing/repairing/destroying/improving/terraforming/collapsing/mining/surface mining within deeds/perimeter areas of yours/allied deeds
  • Yes, lockpicking enemy vehicles offdeed/offperimeter at any location
  • Yes, Battlecamp conqering
  • Yes, Roaming Depot looting(Defiance)

The PvP Ban and Raid Ban Directives have received a much needed overhaul, including fleshing them out to cover more possible scenarios while also aiming to keep them clear and concise, and easily readable.

On behalf of the GM Team we hope this clarifies our expectations on the conduct of everyone on a PvP server if/when these directives need to be deployed.
