Client on 2009 Macbook Pro freezes instantly upon login

I have the updated Java version. Not sure what could be the issue...

Wurm Online works on Mac, but I don't think the steam version (ie. Wurm Unlimited) is ready for that yet.

 

Having said that, I'm running Windows 10 on my MacBook using Boot Camp.  Works very well, and able to run Wurm Unlimited.  If you try it, there is a graphics issue with the intel chip but there's also a fix.  Just a matter of shutting off a setting.  GLSL or something like that I think?

 

Oddly, I think my retina display actually looks even crisper and sharper with Windows 10.  It's a surprisingly good and smooth combination, imho.

Try turning off the GLSL Shaders in prefs.  Works on my old MacBook Pro.
