Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) Connection to patch server failed, falling back to Coral.Coral failed as well, abandoning this attempt.class.WDuXOz0JQR: Error opening connection to patch server. This part of the error indicates your connection cannot "find" updates.wurmonline.com usually becasue the IP address is dynamic. If you ever edited HOST to put in a number for the patch server, you should remove it so it can find the server itself (because the previous number is no longer valid) Some people have better luck using Google public DNS. Some people just have to wait 1-12 hours while their ISP updates is nameservers. In a few rare circumstances there is some issue involving IPv4 vs IPv6, or some network blovcking access. If you have been unable to access for over 12 hours, this might be an issue, Edited December 9, 2015 by Brash_Endeavors
Posted December 8, 2015 still cant get in to the game, if i connect to the internet on my phone i can get in tothe game, but not on my rauter, anyone know what i can do to fix it?
Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) Is the phone connecting through a different ISP, or are cable/phone through the same ISP? It sounds like the phone company is keeping their nameservers better updated. Have you tried seeing if setting your computer to use Google public DNS instead of your ISP nameservers solves the issue: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using?hl=en A final solution is to edit your host file to "help" it find the wurm patch server, but this is not the best suggestion because, while it works almost immediately, it can cause future problems if you neglect to later remove the HOSTS edit (since the patch server IP is dynamic and will not ALWAYS use the same IP address. If you want to try it anyway: 1) In NOTEPAD open the file HOSTS located at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc * you might need to change file permissions if you are not Administrator on the account 2) Use a lookup link like http://tracert.com/resolver to find the current IP address for updates.wurmonline.com (when I checked it was 185.59.222.22 but it might use a range 2) Add this line: to HOSTS: 185.59.222.22 updates.wurmonline.com That should get you into the game today, but if you have issues in the future you should REMOVE that line as the IP address may change without notice. In fact I would remove it after a day or two and see if your ISP can now find it on its own. Because most people forget to do this and have issues later, its not really a recommended solution.
