So I re-installed the game.

hit 'dedicated server'

validated the IP

started server from LAN

joined game.

when I spawn there were 4 people in local and no way (that I can tell) to reload the launcher to see if those were real people or NPCs

Assuming it was Adventure, it's most likely to be NPC's.

But at least it's working...

Just to be sure you're logging on to your own server, refresh the lan servers before choosing, that way only your server should be the one showing up, you can also change the name of the server as ell.

A small, but fairly innocuous bug means that sometimes you get a public server showing in the LAN list, a refresh clear that, leaving just yours.

ironically I am not doing this to play just doing to do figure it out and all the various variables. I have a backup of my previous game so curious if I can put that DB in and load that game.

I would like them to keep the launcher open while in game not sure how one would know if someone is logging in or not.

re-installed game

created a dedicated server with my validated IP

started game,

people in game or NPCs? not sure but 4 people in game

cant reopen the launcher while in game to verify if people are in my game or not

manage server again, unclicked dedicated server

server doesnt launch

error is posted in console window which can be found at Wurm.log.0 (error 1) below

deleted folder called Adventure and replaced that folder with my backedup folder

game loads but all the work I did on that game session before troubles began are gone.

Sorry but I think the launcher and the single player setup needs to be more stable before I can risk playing and loosing my work again. I hope such fixes are high priority but it appears from the latest update that its not.

take care I will have to play something else

It looks like "error 1" that u posted is java shutting down the server... there is usually 1 or 2 errors before that, showing the reason java is shutting down the server.
