some people cant get the file to change into the jar by renaming it, is there a download with it already into a jar to help others that cant get it to change?

It is already in jar format? o.O

I did not have to do anything to the download to get it into .jar format and to function as it should as it was already ready to just drop into place.

The instructions on the first post are outdated and the the author did not update it for a while.

I updated the mod to work with the latest server. You'll have to unzip the mod into the server folder and the client needs the client modloader.

So is this up tod date? When i swapp the cows texture to the right folders. They just become the original texture of the cows....

I didn't swap any textures, and it's working fine for us still.

Make sure your server has serverpacks + httpserver mods installed, and your client has serverpacks mod too (the client version)

Our server has serverpacks and httpserver mod installed, and our clients both have serverpacks mod.  Both of us are able to see proper pandas, zebras, and ocelots on other servers, just not on our LAN server. I'm kind of stumped as to why we can't see them on our LAN.  We didn't change any config for serverpacks or httpserver - were we supposed to?  And if so, to what?

Huskies  and dalmation is the traits. Also need serverpacks in client to show. Dalmation is piebaldPinto and husky is bloodbay.

Been a while since i have set up a server. It could be the the way you have IP address you have the serverpacks set up.

What address do you use for it. And what address do you use to connect

I started a new LAN server to see if the issue persisted there, and it did not. So in the end we just did a rebuild of our original one and now it works fine.

There are no panda or ocelot rugs yet. I'm still hoping someone will make them possible.  ?

Ok there are me and a couple others who tried all versions..  but when we put them in, the client would not start... or not do anything at all in game...Is there something amiss?

This is a server mod that possibly needs updated since they changed the location of a class creatures use in a recent update.

You need serverpacks installed on your client to download and utilize the texture even if the server has this installed.

not sure if this is what you were looking for.. 

 

The lines only cover the shutdown process. If there is an error it must have been reported further up in the file.

Yes. One is the server mod, the other the graphics pack that is served to the client.

 

 

And to clarify this: The creaturemod is a server mod. There are no changes needed on the client besides running the client mod loader. If you added the creaturemod to the client, remove it as it won't work like that.
