Update

  • Backup existing mods
  • Download latest release server-modlauncer-xxx.zip
  • Extract contents to Wurm Unlimited server root and replace existing files
  • Remove WurmServerLauncher-patched and launch patcher.sh for linux or patcher.bat for windows

Hi all, and thanks ago for provide us this great tool!

 

I try to update it but when I do the 4 steep : Remove WurmServerLauncher-patched and launch patcher.sh for linux or patcher.bat for windows

get this error: 

 

INFO: PatchedLauncher does already exist. server.jar is already patched
chmod: cannot access 'WurmServerLauncher-patched': No such file or directory

 

what are I'm doing wrong?

not sure if it's something i'm doing or it's a mod that's part of the loader, if i have the "actiondemo' enabled, i cant mine properly when i try to "exploratory" mine. not sure why either.

While you can use ActionDemo to create christmas trees using branches there's not much use besides showing how custom actions can be done.

 

The action demo overloads the mine action on borders and corners with essentially a no-op. That might be the reason why it's not working properly. Though I'm not sure what you mean with exploratory mining.

thanks for the explanation, what i mean is, using the abony wand to find ores, instead of mining every tile imaginable to find a single tile with iron ore or something...

Hey Ago,

 

I've got a similar issue to Ozmods whereby I can only Mine Up or Down, it wont let me mine forward and will generate the "typography" or "burried alive" errors. I've rebuilt my server, recreated my maps and the issue persisted. After disabling the action mod there was no longer an issue?

 

Thank you for all your awesome upload though and if you do find the glitch and release an update that would be amazing ^^

Just remove the actiondemo mod. Or do you need it for anything special?

Wouldn't like to say what's wrong, it was working perfectly fine previous to 1.5, but judging on the log an array out bounds error seems more like it'd be on the side of mod rather than the loader.

Mind you I have no idea really, I'll takea  quick look at the source if it's there and see what I can see, though my programming knowledge is extremely limited.

Edit: server starts fine with the mod disabled.

Edit 2: According to the mod's own thread, it's an issue with the vein cap. I'll just disable anyway and wait for a fix from the mod dev (hopefully). Cheers!

Crop mod doesn't seem to be working properly after the patch.  My crops still go to "only weeds".  Nevermind.  Somehow when I updated everything, cropmod didn't have the new files replace the old ones.

Hi Ago, I'm having an issue with one of the cave wall actions I've created. For some reason, the method is returning identical tileX and tileY values every time the item is used. If I'm at 1023, 455 - the action() is returning 1023, 1023. Here's the full action for testing purposes, including a logger output of every variable that gets returned.

 

I tried the new action() method including the "int dir" argument, but it was not picked up when I used the item. The item functioned naturally in it's current form before the update to 1.5.

Hm... as a follow-up, the "tile" argument seems to be returning an invalid value. I'll use a workaround with Server.caveMesh.getTile(tilex, tiley) in the meantime.

 

In my testing I was getting 3 and 5 as the only valid arguments from tile, despite testing against many different wall types including veins and reinforcements, when the proper return value should be a high negative value.

Do you use java code or the script runner? The actions in actiondemo receive valid values for tile.

I found some errors regarding action performers. Here is a patch file. Now that I look at the version tree I may have check out the wrong branch. it seems the double tiley thing may be fix in another branch. But there is another issue besides those here anyway.

I think you're still using an old game version which is not supported by the modloader anymore. Older versions (maybe v0.23) might still work.

modloader

  • read mod configurations from packaged configurations in mod jars as well
  • size property is actually used when the ItemTemplateBuilder constructor is used
  • added eggLayer and headbuttDamString to CreatureTemplateBuilder
  • new helper CreatureTemplateParser, ItemIdParser and CreatureTypesParser which allow parsing names or ids. The names are resolved from the static entries in the CreatureTemplates, ItemList and CreatureTypes classes.
  • classes from imported dependencies retain their original classloader

  • resolve excluded creature templates using CreatureTemplateParser

  • split http server from serverpacks mod

serverpacks

  • serverpacks now requires httpserver which is activated automaticly

The modloader will now look for mods in the following way:

  • check all files mods/*.properties

For those files the properties are read in this order and later settings overriding previous

  • mods/<modname>/<modname>.jar!META-INF/org.gotti.wurmunlimited.modloader/<modname>.properties
  • mods/<modname>.properties
  • mods/<modname>.config

In addition all subfolders in mods which are not already handled by above *.properties rule are checked for properties in

  • mods/<modname>/<modname>.jar!META-INF/org.gotti.wurmunlimited.modloader/<modname>.properties

Mods discovered this way will have depend.ondemand=true set unless the properties file in the jar explicitly sets depend.ondemand to something else.

If such a properties file is found the .config file is read as well

  •  mods/<modname>.config

For example the new httpserver mod is automaticly available because it has a .properties file in the jar. depend.ondemand is set to true so it will only be loaded if it's needed by the serverpacks mod.

An upcoming client modloader release will have .properties files in the jars for custommaps and serverpacks which explicitly set depend.ondemand to false. This will load the mods when just the jar file is present without the need to install a separate .properties file in the mods folder.

Small suggestion - have some preset location in the jar for a .config file. When loading a mod, if there's no matching config file in the mods folder, copy it from the jar to the mods folder. That way default config files can be packaged into the jar and users can easily edit them in the mods folder.
