Crashing whenever I try to change an option in launcher

Hi!

 

I purchased WU today and have been experiencing some issues. Whenever I try to change an option via clicking on a drop down box, the launcher stops responding and stays in that state until I end it via task manager.

 

I am on Windows 10 on a laptop with the following stats -

 

16gb ram

Switchable Intel HD5500GPU / AMD Radeon R7m270

4x Intel core I7-5500U @ 2.40ghz

Fixed - apparently this is a known issue with JavaFX on Windows 10 with devices using touchscreens. I fixed this by temporarily disabling my touchscreen.

 

To do this, go to start, right click on "This PC" and choose properties.

Choose device manager

Find "Human Interface Devices"

Find "HID Compliant touch screen", right click and disable.

Try out the fix I posted in the second post. All working fine for me with the touchscreen disabled

Small issue with that workaround though...Disabling the touchscreen...disables my touchscreen.

Do you not have a keyboard and mouse to use too? You can always just re-enable it when you are done.

I use touchscreen while playing wurm.

An actual fix for this without disabling your touchscreen.

I found this on the steam forum.

edit your launchconfig.ini file.(for both client and server this works)
add the following line under [VMParams]:
JvmParam2=-Dglass.accessible.force=false

I have used this on both the server and the client. It stops the crash and also allows you to play wurm with your touch screen.
