Posted October 12, 2015 Just face it. Rolf do not want more publicity to WO or WU.Even crappier and smaller playerbase games can do better advertising than WO have ever done.

That made no sense to me, they are smaller yet they dit better advertising?
Posted October 12, 2015 Just face it. Rolf do not want more publicity to WO or WU. Even crappier and smaller playerbase games can do better advertising than WO have ever done. What this implies is that if you are a small game developer you do not want to advertise because it will provide less revenue. So, according to Willis, Rolf is on the right track by not advertising thereby increasing his player base. Willis is obviously a citizen of Bizarro World. Then realized they are old posts. Your grammar/english has improved tenfold since then! Its very noticeable!

You should do something about that like other gaming commpany do. It has nothing to do with them not knowing how to use a Google AdWords account. They're game developers and programmers; I'm pretty sure they can figure it out. There are, as far as I know by what was last said about it, currently plans to push for more advertising after the new UI (and possibly some other things?) is complete. So, it's on deck, just not until they make changes that would result in advertising being more effective.
Posted April 17, 2018 Game developers and programmers aren't marketers and don't always have the skillset for it. Not only that, the ones working at CC don't have it in their job description to advertise the game. I'm guessing, they come in, do their job, fix bugs, code stuff, but don't spend the rest of the day at home thinking how to advertise the game since it's not their job. However, here's a thought, we could try making wurm popular ourselves?

Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) This was the last email I received about Wurm Online: 4/12/17 http://www.wurmonline.com/sendy/w/swK4d83LzrFUT58763nnzWpg/GqIVFaBQwXIP892pw6mjS9yw/EY4T8920UjxAAZcod4wH0GDg Why haven't I received an email for every update they have done? Every patch with new content should be a press release saying this is what we added. Those MMO news sites love that stuff, its free content for them to post on their front pages. I feel like a ball is being dropped. Edited April 19, 2018 by Ascorbic

Players, including myself, go on long breaks and may or may not return. Enticing them with news of new features is a great idea, as is getting word out in general.

Posted April 20, 2018 (edited) WO does appear on some sites but it seems the sites lost interest, not receiving updates from press releases, or slid of their radar. 2015 seems to be a time where this connection was lost.
