Posted September 20, 2015 The Mongols, under Genghis Khan, were said to wear silk shirts. This sounds like a bad idea, but if an arrow hit them, the properties of the silk saved their lives. You see, the arrow still pierced their flesh, but not the silk. So they had an arrow inside of them, but wrapped around their unbroken silk. So by tugging on the silk around it, the arrow would be smoothly and painlessly pushed out.Would it be a good addition to Wurm?
Posted September 20, 2015 +1 that would require mulberry trees + silkworm farming. They could use the same graphics than the trellis, but now with a use for it, with mulberry branches, instead of seedling. But because we have dragons, why not mulberry seedlings and silkworm mots that can be found while foraging. Then just make the trellis with them.Yeah It would be a nice feature. Posted September 20, 2015 "Painlessly" is probably a bit of exaggeration, but I recall a similar tale from the American Old West where two card players drew over a disagreement. One was killed by a shot to the heart from a derringer. The coroner found that his silk handkerchief had been embedded in the wound. When pulled out, it contained the bullet. Notice, however, the wound was still fatal. Probably the best thing about a silk shirt would be that it wouldn't leave stray threads inside the wound like linen or wool would. Posted September 20, 2015 (edited) First, silk cometh from spiders. And its quality would be determined by your butchering skill. Second, no matter how good that silk shirt was, trust me, that arrow was not painless. Edited September 20, 2015 by Minobu Tetsuhara
