try rebooting the computer as that sometimes clears out TMP files. it is also possible something like antivirus was doing a normal scan and had the file so that the update failed.

If not, try looking for and renaming C:\Program Files (x86)\wurm\packs\graphics.jar.tmp

you might need to tell windows to allow you to see HIDDEN AND SYSTEM FILES, if you are not sure how to do that, and nothing else is working, post back.

Also make sure you have no active character logged into the game, as you cannot update with another character online.

Assuming you don't have any other characters logged in which would stop packs being updated it could be because Windows is not allowing files to be updated because you have Wurm installed in your Program Files (x86) directory.

I think Windows may prevent writing there as a security measures so moving Wurm to a different location may help.

You  can also see if a manual download works:

And I agree with the "program files" issue mentioned by Explora, I generally suggest using instead something like C:\Games\Wurm to avoid Windows suddenly blocking file updates.

Do you recall how long since you logged into this character?

Nope, July or so, I think late July, but its getting there on her.

I been busy with life and junk so I can't explain haha. But I planned on keeping her and getting premium eventually.

I dont have any safety things going on at the moment and my computer was restarted last night (error happened last night, tried again today, twice nothing)

Gonna download the file.

edit: trying to move file directory first.

yeah see if just picking up and moving it to C:\Games\Wurm does anything. If it breaks anything you should be able to just move it back again.

Worst case scenario -- go to COntrol Panel > Programs > uninstall WURM

Then reinstall.  But then it takes a long time to redownload everything again from scratch, so save that for when nothing else is working.

I'm in! I had to move it to the desktop and reinstall the directory there.

Woop. Glad everything's fixed now. Was worried, apparently its only been 30 days since I logged in, so I wasn't too close to losing her!
