If the food system in wurm ever gets remade, what foods would you want?

I have a few ideas:

-Sticky Willy: Flour, sugar, icing (sugar and water)
-Hazelnut Butter: Hazelnuts in a Press
-Acorn Butter: Acorns in a Press
-Butter: Milk product
-Cream: Milk in a press
-Butters can be used in sandwiches and cakes
-Spotted D1ck: animal fat, fruit and cream
-Sausages: leftover pork
-Chips: carve potatoes into potato strips and boil them in a bowl with oil

I'm all for a more established cooking system in game. Milking, baking and dairy food making need some love!

We need more food items, but they will be generally useless unless we also have some kind of stat modifiers for them to make different foods merited for different situations or scenarios.

granola

oats, apples & walnuts

takes a higher cooking skill but can be both nutritional and last a long time in inventory, good for use on travel

The "balance"   is because it is harder to acquire the ingredients in large quantities so it will never replace the ease of making bulk meals.

Other "dried" foods

raisins, dried mushrooms for later cooking,   pemmican and fish jerky

The more "convenient" the food (ie high nutriition plus low decay rates), the more time labor should be involved as a game balance, either in the gathering of resources or the preparation stages

- Pesto Pasta: (Flour + water = noodles), basil, garlic, olive oil

- Yogurt: Strawberry/Blueberry/Lingonberry, milk, yeast (from saps)

- Ale: barley, yeast (from saps)

- Onigiri: Kelp and cooked rice... LoL

So much...

I'd recommend they start with items they've added but forgotten first.

Chestnuts, Walnuts, and Kelp come to mind.

I have a few ideas:

-Butter: Milk product

-Cream: Milk in a press

Milk in a press = cream?    Seriously, all you have to do is let the milk sit. The cream will come to the top and you just skim it.

Butter needs a churn of some sort.

Both are good ideas. But where's the coffee? We have eggs to fry, we have pigs for bacon. we have bread for toast. But where's the coffee?

How about being able to make rye whiskey, apple cider, and corn whiskey (to some known as moonshine) that gives a stamina increase effect?

Butter Churn

The cheese drill is actually a butter churn, and such a device would not be used to make cheese. Fresh cream is mechanically agitated, either by shaking or stirring (paddle-drill inside bucket), and butter forms as fat solids clump out from the liquid. Cheese would be made by simply allowing milk sour, or by adding an acid (lemon juice), then separating out the curds. Salt is not required for these processes.

+1 for butter and expanding Dairy Food Making and Baking skills.

Beans. (alternate for meat)

Tortillas (made from grains/corn)

Burritos. (portable meals with slightly extended "stay fresh" time).

Enough said.

Right now the only thing that gives good nutrition are meals. I would love more food options, but without good nutrition/durability gains for extra effort it would be a waste of time.

I can still remember the only time someone jumped through all the hoops to make cake...and was she proud!

Until we all got nerfed to 23 nutrition for eating it :(

I too would love some more variations for meals or new high nutrition dishes.

Suggestions:
* Mushroom risotto (mushrooms + rice + water + herbs) - mushrooms are not getting enough love

* Beans/peas (growing on supports) - could add lots of variation in many dishes and could be an alternative to meat in meals
