Cursor Moves Down After Left Click

Recommended Posts

When I left click, e.g., to rotate the view, to activate something, etc., the cursor disappears then re-appears about 15cm (6in) straight down from where I clicked when I'm in windowed mode or at the bottom of the screen and about 5cm (2in) to the right when I'm in fullscreen mode. When two screens are available and I use fullscreen mode, the cursor is moved to the lowest point of all screens.

Tested on MacBook Pro 11,3 using the built-in trackpad, a Magic Mouse, and a CST trackball (all gave identical results.)

While this sounds minor, it can lead to some fairly annoying deaths and UX problems due to either the mouse being over something unexpected upon a second click or more significantly, being over a different application window and therefore having moved focus for the keyboard input as well. For example, you're running along a ridge line that curves ahead, so you click to rotate the view a bit, then click again to rotate a bit more, but the second click moved focus away from Wurm and so over the cliff you go since your keyboard input is now going elsewhere.

Exact same thing occurs for me. I'm running OS X El Capitan Beta (10.11) and it occurs with both trackpad & mouse.

This appears to only happen when clicking in the "world", i.e., clicking overlay components such as the inventory, crafting, mission, and chat windows does not cause this to happen.

Hey Faster. Do you play with multiple screens? I've found that using Wurm in my "main" display, the cursor doesn't move at all when left clicking, using my right display it goes down when clicking, and my macbook screen is goes up when clicking. Using my far left screen it doesn't move either.

It seems to be depending on the resolution compared to your primary display on my system. 2 1920x1080 screens the mouse doesn't move, using the macbook in retina mode (1440x900) and my 2560x1440p results in movement of the cursor.

I have multiple screens—usually one laptop plus one external—but only play on one. All screens are 2560x1440 or larger.

Yeah, the issue only seems to occur if I play Wurm on a screen that I have not set as my "default" within OS X.
