archery

Recommended Posts

does it help to practice archery in a fenced in area, will that keep the arrows from going to god knows where?

i found some last time i practiced it 22 tiles behind me, and i was using a short bow.

too much work goes into making arrows to loose them all in an hour of archery practice.

I had the archery target placed on the edge of a steep grassy slope at one point, with the slope sort of acting like a net behind the target.

I was able to recover a lot of shafts that way, and keep using them until they broke.

Good luck!

I setup a 20 by 2 tile long area for archery. (Only needed 1 tile wide though)

It's trimmed down to lawn with 5 tile markers for easy distance sighting. (For the different bow types)

Archery targets, bow racks, and Bulk Storage Bins at each end.

Fire all you got at one, run down and bsb them to remove damage, then pull them back out and fire back at the other target. Rinse/Repeat

Edit: Its way overboard. But I'm all about going overboard. :)
