Posted June 4, 2015 There is no 'era' that has dragons and magic. Your argument is nonsense. Um... Wurm Online takes place during the Medieval era. The fantasy in the game fits the era.
Posted June 4, 2015 I think giving players the ability to use skateboards would upset the balance for PvE - with the increased movement and the ability to block damage with the board during stunts. If this gets implemented, trolls should get roller skates and hockey sticks and spiders get stilts to make up for the additional capabilities handed to the player base. Obviously this change could potentially draw a huge crowd in who had to go to skateboard-specific games before.
Posted June 5, 2015 Have you tried a 1980's skateboard? Those ball bearings and brick wheels kinda sucked. There's a reason it took them so long to catch on properly :3 80's hell, I rode this in 3rd grade, it's pretty close to 2 sets of wheels on a plank. http://www.preciolandia.com/ar/skate-antigua-patineta-pro-class-hot-dog-885eg0-a.html

Posted June 5, 2015 Meh skateboards... what about SURF BOARDS!? Klaa has a point skateboarding became popular as a way to imitate surfing, hence 'Sidewalk Surfing'. So we must first implement waves, surfing, and sidewalks before considering this item. https://youtu.be/RHwDGQ6QYfU

Posted June 5, 2015 Meh skateboards... what about SURF BOARDS!? Brought this up within this thread a while ago. Don't make it sound like your idea now. http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/124658-skateboards-in-wurm/page-2#entry1281647 Also they would be more appropriate to this timeframe, since the Hawaiian's (Polynesian's) and maybe even Peruvian's were using them way before this time. Only limitations here would be the flat oceans with no currents to speak of for easier paddleouts. Would be a good player draw though if they could create perfect waves designed for simulated tube riding and of course the Surfing skill necessary to un-kook oneself. Then again it might draw too many undesirables to the game. Hang 'em, Brah! (the undesirables too!) =Ayes=

Posted June 5, 2015 Better thought out then most suggestions added to game, + 3.-3 for being a fundamentally poor attempt to reward an idea that doesn't fit the theme/era of the game. Shame on you Tineen.

Posted June 5, 2015 (edited) Indeed the ability to shred would drastically impact the gameplay, and it would completely favor pvp servers more than pve. Edited June 5, 2015 by Klaa

Posted June 6, 2015 to all the naysayers DID YOU KNOW that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivionâ„¢ has skateboards in it?? i mean if a AAAA fantasy developer can put that in their game without their nerdy fanbase getting in an uproar... why can't wurm?

Posted June 7, 2015 I am suggesting putting skateboards in wurm. You would use stamina to ride it and it would go really slow on grass and fast on roads.Thoughts?this is a medieval game skate boards dont belong as they did not exist till the late 1940s, or early 1950s
Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uD7Lzv5fWhs nobody ever took the sides off a wooden wheeled mine cart and rode it around, no one ever slapped 2 wheels on a plank and tried to balance on it, and most certainly, no one ever used a small wheel. these things just didn't happen until at least the year of our wurm 1950.
