Posted May 21, 2015 (edited) Sometimes I'm greedy for time, so I tried to save some when sailing from the far north-east of Indy to The Howl/Freedom Docks, by going south through Crystal Lake. The problem was, nobody could tell me if big ships would fit through caves now. There was one to go through. Let's find out... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI7aNaAM-LU With a little pushing and pulling at the cave entrances/exits, or dragging if you have the muscle, the answer is yes. The canal in question is Cave Canal near The Howl, connecting the Inner Sea at Freedom Docks with Crystal Lake, relatively center on the map. Most relevant information (music etc.) should be in the video's description. Sorry for the mouse cursor. I hope you will enjoy watching that Edited May 21, 2015 by Ulviirala
Posted May 21, 2015 (edited) Well it has been awhile since i used a cave canal and was before the update but there was a change that made boats not fit as well through the entrance. (well at least it seemed like it to me) I am not sure why they have so much trouble with that but it would be nice if they could fix it. Posted May 21, 2015 lol Loved the music additions...with sputtering out noises. Good to know we can do deep draft canals...(I assume that was a deep draft, or otherwise it'd have gotten stuck inside the cave...) I'd heard they 'fixed' the whole 'catching on entries' thing with the collisions stuff, but perhaps not with the largest ship of them all...
Posted May 21, 2015 that black ship on exit was cool, perhaps better than current textures btw that exit in inner sea is known for it shallow bottom, big ships needs bit of push there ... ... but maybe there is chance to repair it now, yesterday I did some underwater surface mining and I was able to mine to -22 and probably even deeper and I expected it will stop me somewhere around -11, I think it was not possible before without special tool charged with silver coins
Posted May 21, 2015 Can I off-topic critique? Your English is amazing. The dialect is clear and you certainly seem very fluent speaking it. With that being said, you are pronouncing canal as "kennel", which is a house/cage meant for a pet.Audio examples of each word can be found:http://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/us/definition/english/canalhttp://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/us/definition/english/kennel

I bet a lot of cringes have been given throughout the video heh Not sure where that habit of pronunciation came from though. Nice to see it's getting mostly positive reception though. It comforts me over my point of view seeing so many things I could've done to make it better (maybe, probably, perhaps, certainly).
