bridges problem

Recommended Posts

Hello, i have problem with bridge building.

I remove all tress, fences, both ends of the bridge is 10 dirts higher than water level. No caves, rock near.

14 slope down each tile.

[18:24:51] You check for clearance between the bridge ends.

[18:24:57] Some terrain is in the way!

[18:24:57] You notice that there is not enough clearance for a bridge to be built here.

[18:24:57] You stop surveying.

[18:24:57] You pack up the dioptra.

There is a difference between a bridge and a ramp unfortunately.

The error occurs because if the bridge were made as it is, it would have to literally be right on top of the ground. You need to dig the dirt ramp down so that there would be a clearance of 10 slope between the bottom of the bridge and the dirt ground.

Yes the bridge needs a min clearance of 10 under it on every tile.

The minimum clearance I believe is 5 dirt

I ran into this issue multiple times, you cant do a true right triangle so you need to raise the end tile a minimum of 5 dirt. As long as the end tile is at least 5 dirt higher than the lowest point under the bridge the clearance should be good.
