Posted May 16, 2015 Its been like this for years and you know what we do? We deal with it. Actually, I'm quite fond of the fog.
Posted May 16, 2015 i wish we could have a toggle to turn it off and on in the settings
Posted May 16, 2015 Tbh I like it since they upgraded the fog, it is one of the most realistic effects I've ever seen in a game And let's face it, we can have 'pea soup' fog in reality too
Posted May 16, 2015 I LOVE the fog....leave it be ....it's great.
Posted May 16, 2015 I quite enjoy the fog. It makes things challenging sometimes, but PVE does mean player versus environment.
Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) -1 already been toned down enough. Edited May 16, 2015 by Uberknot
Posted May 16, 2015 The fog is certainly thick and I do not like playing in it. People also complain about 'too bright' snow. I do not like sailing against the wind or when the wind is light. This is actually what it is like in real-life when we complain about weather that is not what we fancy. However if we wait it changes. Perhaps if we think about it, Wurm has outstanding weather effects that actually contribute towards a real PVE experience.
Posted May 16, 2015 funnily enough it was toned down before, it is still a pain in the ass.
Posted May 16, 2015 I love the fog. I have been introducing my grown daughter to the game, and we were on a long cross-country run when the thick fog rolled in. It really made the trip an adventure. It's very immersive and makes you so much more aware of how great some of Wurm's environmental effects are. I don;t want it changed. I know there have been many times I have cursed the thick fog, especially travelling by boat and unsure of where I am, but I still would never want it changed.
Posted May 16, 2015 I've seen fog far worser then this...
Posted May 17, 2015 I don't have any problems with the fog personally, sometimes it's light, sometimes it's heavy. It seems perfect to me.-*inserts Britney meme here*- Leave the fog alonnneeeeeeee. ;_;
Posted May 17, 2015 (edited) Dunno, I like the fog.. keeps my navigating skills sharrp... arrr! *Edit: didn't someone suggest a toggle for it some time ago? Would be a good compromise, I for one don't want the lovely lovely fog gone, but can't think of how it would affect me if others turned theirs off. Posted May 17, 2015 (edited) Budda Client DeveloperPosted 09 December 2011 - 06:59 PMProtip: turn off pretty weather to make it less dense. is this solution gone now? Edited May 17, 2015 by Brash_Endeavors
Posted May 17, 2015 didn't they already tone it down a lot? it used to be much worse and much more often
Posted May 17, 2015 Leave the fog alone - and certainly no 'graphics toggle option!' Just so long as it is not an overly common occurrence, it is great for immersion when it does occur. Let's you get on with other things that do not require fantastic visibility. -
Posted May 17, 2015 Hm for some reason I belive that Rolf has described this as a survival game more than a summer resort game?
Posted May 17, 2015 I say tone down, love the effect but if need be, only have it last a few seconds so thick. Had to stop on boat because I could not see a thing yesterday... I vote tone it down
Posted May 18, 2015 Hm for some reason I belive that Rolf has described this as a survival game more than a summer resort game?Since when does fog = survival?Fog is only a visual weather effect. Like rain and snow, it adds nothing to the game other than slight immersion (for some).
Posted May 18, 2015 Let us turn it off if we don't like it. It lags me very badly.
