Bridge screenshots

Wonder how the Scar of Magranon folks feel knowing that all their surface mining up that mountain is easily replaced by a bridge. :(

not feeling bad at all, since the mountain is too steep to be just "bridged" over :) but we will definitely use bridges within the project for some critical areas :D (also surface mined road can not decay and does not need to be repaired  :P)

Is it possible to make flying buttresses with bridges? Now that would be cool.

Clatius - you cant build it over existing buildings is the only limitation - might be able to use it as design elements on the edges though - down to the ground more so than between two walls - or with open tiles between the buildings

This just goes to show why the test server couldn't  test every conceivable use for bridges. Peoples imaginations never cease to amaze me. Well done to you all.

Me on my rope bridge on Xanadu. It has an odd-looking gate at one end.

I was just trying to plan one of these between two buildings, but I can't figure out why they are uneven.  Arched bridges split the angle between the tiles on either side of the crown.  Why don't rope bridges?

WIP - probably not the way they were intended to be used - but I couldn't help myself. Maybe in a week or two it will be finished and I can post some more proper screenshots from other angles. For now, this is what I got:MYAwBLr.jpg

Darn it, I was going to do this for one of the start deeds as a fancy design. I will hold on that and let you take all the credit :)
