Game Rules
These apply to all servers.

Wurm Online provides a complex social environment with many different people.  These rules help keep the game running smooth while allowing you the freedom to enjoy the possibilities within Wurm Online without spoiling the experience of others.  These rules will be periodically revised to reflect changes in Wurm Online.  It is your responsibility to be aware of these rules and subsequent updates.

There is no discrimination between premium and free accounts with regards to the rules and any penalties imposed will be determined on a case by case basis.

Wurm Online may suspend, modify, terminate, or delete any player account at any time for any reason without notice. Most account terminations or deletions are the result of violations of the EULA or game rules. Accounts terminated or deleted will not be reactivated for any reason.

Wurm Online Team
A ) You may not openly insult, berate, or 'verbally' abuse any Wurm Online Team member via any method.
B ) You will obey any directive or instruction given by a Game Master.
C ) You may not deliberately supply Wurm Online Team members with false information.
D ) You may never impersonate any member of the Wurm Online Team.
Punishment: You may be warned or banned based on the situation.  Breaking rule D will be punished much more severely.

Wurm Online Team includes all members of Code Club AB. Including but not limited to: Moderators / Assistants / Game Masters / Developers.

Account Security
Keep your passwords secure at all times!  (You are solely responsible for the security of your accounts.)
 - Please read this thread on how to improve your account security: http://forum.wurmonl...swords-warning/

Account sales
A ) Code Club AB condones account and item sales, as we believe that you have the right to capitalize on your investment in Wurm Online.
B ) We do not offer support or service and will not be held responsible for any remedial action or loss that occurs.
C ) All such activity (sales, auctions, trades, sharing) is entirely at your own risk.
D ) Change the password and e-mail address of acquired accounts. (You are solely responsible for the security of your accounts.)

A ) Key locking (IE weighing down a key on your keyboard) is not permitted.
B ) Multiboxing (automated sending of actions to more than one client at the same time) is not permitted.

Attendance required:

Make sure to attend your game session when performing actions. If you use keybinds and send actions that finish often, make sure that your actions have desired effect before starting a new queue in case you watch TV or do something similar that steals your attention. When performing actions that you start more seldom and take a long time to finish (such as fishing or training shields) you still need to verify that you have a valid target now and then when starting the action which should be no problem. In case we notice that you are not attending the game and express prolonged robotic behavior where your actions have no effect you risk being banned for automated play. This will of course not happen when playing normally or being afk. You also have to make sure to respond to any popup questions that may occur due to such perceived automation.

Punishment: First offense - Permanent avatar ban.  Second offense - Loss of all avatars/accounts and permanent ip ban.
 - Penalties for macro abuse may be applied at any time pending GM review, even if you have discontinued abusing a macro at time of penalty.

Use of the 'G' keys on a G series keyboard, mouse, or other similar product is permitted to send multiple actions simultaneously (without any default, built-in, or added delay timingsin order to fill your in game ACTION QUEUE provided you do NOT use any sort of repeat function.

Policy on Chaos / Freedom (PvE) dual faiths

It is the intention that players can have dual faiths when traveling to and from chaos, if they are Libila followers or priests on chaos, with the following limitations.

  • Only one side can have priesthood - it is not intended for one account to be a priest for two deities
  • Faith and deity should be preserved when changing from PvE to Chaos and back again.  That is, you should have separate faith values on both sides
  • This only applies if you follow Libila on Chaos.  If you follow a White-Light or player deity, your faith should remain the same for both side

However, there are some issues with the game logic that means the above does not always work.  As such, GM's can take the following actions.

  • If on returning to PvE servers from chaos, you lose your deity / faith, we can restore it as follows (We may request you supply us with your Skills log to verify your original faith value) :-
    • If you are a Libila follower on Chaos, and lost priesthood on returning to PvE, we will restore Priesthood and lost faith
    • If you are a Libila priest on Chaos, we will return your deity and lost faith up to 20
  • GM's do not have the ability to modify your alignment.  We cannot correct any issues there.

Notes :

  • There should be no Libila followers on the PvE servers.  The code is supposed to remove that as you leave Chaos, and restore it on your return.  If it does not, please use /support to have it reset.
Note that using actively using Libila powers on PvE servers (including creating altars) is considered an exploit ... you are not supposed to be able to do that.

The snipe feature should be used at anytime a staff member is not immediately available to moderate chat. Only premium accounts have access to this feature. This feature will mute another player if enough premium accounts issue the command in roughly the same time period. The /ignore command also had automatic sniping functionality. The command to snipe is /snipe <playername>

Player Made Kingdom(PMK) channels are invite-only on Chaos and Epic. PMK's are controlled by players and therefore they can remove players from their kingdom if causing unwanted issues.
