Magical walls fix

Prevent people from getting trapped inside magical walls due to teleport lag by blocking casts when a player is on an adjacent tile

Prevented some overpowered spell combos from occurring for player made deities

Made only premium accounts count when it comes to deciding player made deity favored kingdoms

was this  a camoflaged stealth nerf to Tosiek?

 

Half the spells cant be cast on white lighters on freedom. only people he could cast on were tosiek followers. This was going to bring diversity into religion on freedom. Making people chose black or light.

 

Would have been a fun new addition to the game hopefully its not worthless now?

If it was a camoflaged stealth nerf they dind post it on forums.. and yes you can get a OP spell list but that seems to be fixed.

camoflaged by rewording... instead of saying" remove spells from tosiek" this could be used. nm w/e

Tosiek needs spells reworked. Not one person I have heard talking about it has said anything except how overpowered it is. It needs fixing.

how can they know its overpowered theres no one even over 40 faith. looking at a list doesnt mean its overpowered. especially when half the spells cant be cast on people who arent libila or tosiek.


 


refresh, mirning fog, truehit, none can be cast on anyone else. people can talk all they want they should try it before they make accusations.

Good fix on the magical walls, though I'll be interested if it's able to easily abuse the mechanic to stop the casting.

PLEASE APPLY THIS TO SHAKER ORBS WHEN IN CAVES! NOT AS OFTEN USED AS MAGIC WALLS BUT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM.

Yeah some spell needed a reworking. i just hope Rolf didn't change it so dramatically since we haven't even properly tested them in pvp yet.

quite a lot of those spells have been extensively used in pvp, and adding the absolute best BL spells with the absolute best WL spells is a disaster waiting to happen.

So how exactly can you use the spell now?

 

You have your half tile range to cast it on a border and if anyone walks towards you/is next to you while you cast it the spell is canceled?

 

Does this also remove the ability to cast it on a mine door entrance, which was pretty much the only use it had left?

While a step in the right direction, it's a bad fix for something caused by terrible positioning sync, which still causes hundreds of other problems, and by bad fix it ruins the usefulness of the spell, but its okay as it prevents people from having to relog in a fight.

Magical walls was completely broken, the character would be permanently frozen on the tile even after the wall dispelled itself. The 'fix' the devs applied is pretty silly, however understandable, as it's just how wurm is built.
