Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) Yes people time has come to add Cannons to boats. Just when i saw people posting totally useless suggestions i would like a positive change. We can install Cannon on a ship for some silver coins. This way the big ships will be used in PVP. Knarr, Coribita- 2 cannons maxCog- 3 cannons maxCaravel- 5 cannons max Suggestions noted: ballista and catapults work as well on deck by Mkck, Contestani Thus full crew is needed and each person has to aim and shoot those cannons like archery + catapulting. Once a ship is destroyed it can be looted of the silver that was used to buy cannonsNo players die until 1 ship is destroyed. This will be amazing experience to PVP. Naval pvp can bring in new faces as it's a VERY requested feature in sandboxes and largely only in DF and AA. Personally guns and cannons are two very different things. Posted April 23, 2015 Ballista and cannons can use the same basic game mechanics. Cannon ball is just a line of sight shot like a ballista projectile. Not sure why the objections. It's not like they explode or anything. And rate of fire would be abysmal. Accuracy would suck. But they could look and sound neat. All that smoke and fire.
