What do you look for ina deed?

Recommended Posts

First and foremost - it has to be coastal. I like my boats and i like them to be near.

I have some idea for a deed before i start it that influences how i make it. For my current deed i wanted a fortress-like structure overlooking the sea, so i looked for a nice high area close to the water with a good view.

I don't really care about resources on deed. If there's any useful ore - that's cool but if not i don't mind having a bunch of offdeed mines and doing some remote mining once in a while.

Most ideal wishlist:

  • Coastal: I like the views and need easy water access.
  • Resources: clay, tar, lots of iron. Peat nearby is a super bonus.
  • Large area: I like living as a hermit w/o people deeded up my butt on a super large server.
  • Friends/Alliance members within a 5 min ride.

I really lucked out with the release of Xanadu, I have everything on my wishlist and more.

I like being close to an active market.

I also prefer finished deeds, I like terraforming but I really dislike building houses. It's probably my least favourite thing to do in game. I prefer finished deeds with a handful of houses completed, in locations that are pretty (to me), so I can focus on things like working my skills and shopping   ;) I know not everyone enjoys playing that way, but I do!
