Final map

Recommended Posts

2x would be enough, we don't want the same issue you had on the last map that you where pveing more than you where when you went out to roam :P

...this is a chaos sized map, if the same animal population on old elevation was transferred, then the general mod density would be...~4x lower, hence a 4x increase

I just don't want the issue old hota had where you fought more animals than people. it just wasn't fun for pvp imo. i do agree that hunting balance is needed.

Looks like the new map is on test with the starting towns for anyone that wants to see them   :)

It's the same old map... Don't lie in city hall threads.

I was just saying that since there is really no use in making landbridges with longhouses on them, unless they are deeded, then why poop all over the map with the damned things.

I've realised that this map is incredibly short on steppe/desert area's, or atleast it seems their are tiny splotches in the hota area, but the other islands seem to only have 1 of each or several tiny area's instead of large, defined avarga desert/hota steppe type area's.

It seems the map gen is still using challenge code where it tried to make all the area's fair for each kingdom, but in the end it just makes the map look artificial. I honestly would rather have defined biomes  and risk possibly losing the easy JK spawn access to steppe area in exchanged for notable landmarks. Instead of 'the third stepp down near bl to the left' I really think it would be better just to combine all three of those steppes into one big one as they are already really close anyway.

edit: Dare I pry for realism? Tundra at poles, forest at temperate, steppe in tropical, and deserts around the equator? ;P

Small request - For those of us who are considering trying out Epic, could any kingdoms/PMKs etc bump their epic threads to the top of the village recruitment section so that we can find and review them?

A missunderstanding on my part.

The map is beautiful.  It can only be improved with Mycelium.   I can help with that after launch.

I don't like the idea of epic but yet find the map quite attractive.

I don't like the idea of Chaos/Freedom, but I played on Wild and then Epic came.  As for why Chaos still exists remains a mystery to me because I reject any reason why its kept.

The new elevation map is attractive and I hope you consider to play on it, as those home continents of the JK and MR will be very far to raid as BL so you will be safe and enjoy nice skill gain, better than anything freedom could offer.  :D
