After the recent restart, I can't play Wurm.  It is now around 11 pm Australia time, and after about twenty relogs I am giving up. The lag ranges from one minute to a point where the game does not load and I can't move.    


 


Using Windows 8, nvidia card, java 64, and fast computer.


 


Any help would be appreciated very much.

It sounds like your laptop has both a "gaming videocard" (GTX850M) and an intel onboard "powersaving" chip (igdumdim64).  The fact that it is referencing the intel graphics at all, leads me to suspect it has become confused which graphics to use for JAVA programs (which it often identifies as a non-game app and tries to save battery power.)  If you have already once gone to Nvidia Control Panel iun the past and told it where to look for using the NVidia card with JAVA,  it appears to have lost track of that instruction.  SOMETIMES  java updated and moved the location of the java files. I don't think this is your issue however since you look to be using the Java version released last August, so its probably not a new java location (unless you recently dongraded your java. It is possible that updating or changing the video driver, lost the connection to where to point NVidia Control Panel. I will have to go hunt up some images if you are not sure where to look in the NVidia Control Panel. I think it is under 3D settings  


 


 


EDIT: actually, this is the same codes and lagging you reported previously in December. Ago at that time pinpointed a different cause for the lagging, and I would take Ago's advice over mine as he understands network stuff a lot better than me.

Same thing happening to me - does 'packet loss' mean that there is a problem outside of our computer and internet system?  So does it mean that somewhere further along the lines e.g. in Germany (Hertzner) they are deliberately causing this to happen to random users?  If so, please consider changing this situation asap. Thanks.

I did a trace test, pingtest and speed test, and here are the results.  If I can change anything to help me NOT lag, it would be awesome, because I would like to go to a community event this weekend but can't even consider it if I lag like I have been this last week.  Thanks.

No packet loss, yet the game lags at the same time every night. Please fix this.  The problem is not user end.
