Timber Balcony (BUG)

Recommended Posts

I just created one of the new Timber Balconies, and when it was completed it was facing INWARD.

This sounds like the same issue when creating walls/doors/windows that have shutters or overhangs on them as well.  If made on an outer wall, they seem fine.  If making on an inner wall, the direction cannot be dictated.

Is this on an inner wall?

On an upper story?

Which way is the balcony facing?  E W S N?

It is on a upper floor, outer wall....built 4 walls....

Wrong Way

---------------

north wall-balcony facing south

East wall -balcony facing west

 Right Way

---------------

West wall -balcony facing west

South wall-balcony facing south

Thanks for the details.  I've added this information to the bug already opened.  Shutters had the same issue.

Seem like they should develop a tool that rotates the walls or something we keep running into things like this.

what about the people who actually want it facing inside the house?

that would be where a FLIP WALL function would come in handy

This all reminds me of an episode of Looney Tunes for some reason. New walls implemented, but the switch not throw, so they don't work when released. Now they work but half are backwards. LOL.

I think I'll just wait a week or so to change my walls until you boys get it all figured out. ;)

this fixes it and those darn window shutters in the inside of my houses.

Also, to clarify what "outside wall" means... I'm guessing any walls that are inside the border of the ground floor walls is considered an "inner" wall, regardless of it being an outside wall on an upper floor, which is a smaller floor space than the lower floor?  Did that make sense?

Maybe if the make it so the wall faces toward you upon completion???  Sounds easy enough. it is how colossus and guard towers work.
