Posted March 6, 2015 In order to invigorate the Epic cluster we decided to make some fairly obvious  improvements as discussed in the forums.Various changes to Epic missions like removing sacrifice domestic creatures missions, tweaking numbers required and modifying based on item difficulty.Merged Epic numbers in who lists as well as stats pagesMade local list premium only on Epic as a sort of spy prevention (already was implemented on Chaos)Wand of the Seas should now properly (only) work in deep waterFlattened some areas in the Elevation HOTA zone. It looks pretty ugly right now but is hopefully an improvement.Added a depot spawning a few interesting items once per day in Central Elevation HOTA. First spawn in about 24 hours. A very limited version of the Challenge depots.Added random treasure chests containing a couple of potentially interesting items on Elevation (toned down version of Challenge chests). Max 20 may exist at one time.Changed some creatures on Elevation to use new combat system, for instance Trolls, Deathcrawler and Brown Bear. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Posted March 6, 2015 Sorry to Freedom, but Epic is supposed to be unique and has to have unique features and mechanics not available on other clusters (aside from curve/double gain). If Freedom/Chaos, Epic, and Challenge all have the same stuff, there is no reason to play one or the other aside from skill gain speed. Posted March 6, 2015 (edited) What is meant by "new combat system?" Also, as a Freedomer, thank you for removing the sacrifice missions. Nobody was ever going to sacrifice 3000 foals. Edit: Xanadu currently has a mission to sacrifice 4090 bulls. Were these missions removed for Epic only, or is this only because the mission already existed before the change was made? Don't make it a guessing game, ESPECIALLY with something like colossuses (colossi? colossusi?). Like we just had on Serenity...3 hours to build one, and we did - with 10 minutes to spare. But no mission credit, assumedly not the right type/god/etc. Fix that with descriptors, then no need to change any code. Posted March 7, 2015 (edited) I think what we really need is a better ticketing system 1) where those on home servers don't get an advantage2) where those with lots of tickets don't get a disadvantage What we need is a sliding scale, first ticket is 300 points and each subsequent one is 5% more points, this way there is still a chance for low points players to win, and those with lots of points still have a chance rather than being excluded.
