Visual feedback of amount of fuel in forge

Recommended Posts

Like in topic. It don't have to be too much, just less fire particles as forge have small amount of fuel would be enough.

Bumping this because I think this idea needs more attention, now that I am distilling a large amount of spirits with my array of stills. Could change the hue of the fire from red to orange to yellow depending on the amount of fuel.

+1 to giving a forge or oven a visual cue to display if it's low on fuel.

Also as an additional idea, please make ovens act like forges do in that you can 'snuff' the fire and then using flint&steel re-light it later (with kindling, of course) in a forge if there's still fuel left.  Why ovens don't utilize this mechanic, I don't know, but my suggestion is that for quality of life gameplay please change it so they do.  Currently an oven just vaporizes away any remaining unspent  fuel when it's snuffed.

+1, the amount of particles/How bright it's glowing could be a good indicator.

+1 definitely. Stop the examine spam, have thinner log files, you name it. :)

Some WU servers state the exact burning time remaining for forges/ovens/campfires upon using "examine" on them. I would much prefer this to some visual guesswork "clue" on the flame.
