Downloading a .jnlp, what do I do with it?

Recommended Posts

You launch it. If your Java didn't set them up automatically then try to use "Run as Java file" or just reinstall Java so it sets jnpl to automatically run correctly.

the JNLP is run using Java Web Start. When you have Java installed the JNLP file should be associated with javaws.

You can start it all manually by running (Win+R)

javaws http://www.wurmonline.com/client/wurmclient.jnlp
After Wurm has run for the first time you should have a shortcut on the desktop.

I set it to run as a "java.exe" not a "javaws.exe".

Or make sure you have Java installed.

Welcome, by the way!

Just closed Minecraft so I know it was installed and that's the first thing I checked anyways. Welcome back is a more appropriate term :P

Thanks that worked and showed me I had to run it by "javaws" instead of "java".
