PvE Hunting :- Damage Increase

Recommended Posts

One type of character one rarely sees in PvE is archers.

This is mostly because a longsword is a lot easier to make and a lot quicker to learn.  That and you're not constantly having to make more arrows...

To balance this extra effort, in PvE (since bows in PvP are essential they already have a function there) why not buff the damage bows to do mobs in PvE?

Something that means a player who spends the hours making the arrows actually has a use for them that doesn't involve killing other players.

Archery already does pretty great damage with proper range+arrow ql.

Not sure how making them do more damage would make more people pve with archery, as you said you don't have to make arrows for melee and have less micromanagement, which is why people use it, not damage.

A bow needs to be equipped and activated. When they are too close in range, you have to switch up to melee. Many people hunt alone on PvE. It's a pain to chage up when you can just rush in and kill the mob with your melee weapons just as easily because you don't have a melee front to take the incoming.

Archery already does insane damage in PVE with decent skill and gear. If you buff it for more damage it would one shot champion critters.
