Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) I'd like to see a decorative fire wood holder to place next a fireplace or forge. It should be made of metal and only be able to hold kindling, woodscraps and logs. it would be smallish and attractive. The use of filigree would be nice. Posted November 18, 2014 +1 A brass one or bronze to give those a bit more useful purpose?
Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) Yes, please! edit: And not everything added needs to be posh stuff. Even if it was crude wrought iron with a few stages of "full" I'd love it. Edited November 19, 2014 by Othob Rithol

Posted November 19, 2014 Made a rustic one using a large pitted, iron hoop from an old wagon wheel and a couple of cedar blocks as feet.
Posted November 19, 2014 +1 I'd say wood scraps or kindling, and have it add a small log when it fills up like with bsbs adding crates and sacks ( i'd think it'd be to small to hold a full size log you cut from a tree )
Posted November 20, 2014 Using brass or bronze would be nice, those alloys dont enjoy much usage.
Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) Brass for sure. Reminds me of my great grandma's house! All them odd brass dogs, crocodiles and stuff sitting around the surround. Edited November 20, 2014 by bwg
