Hmmm...maybe the jackal/sol eclipse at breeding and the seris/valrei eclipse now have an effect? lol

If that's the case then that's really cool.

Likely not; but yes...that would be awesome. I'll post in the morning if there's a major change; like her having 1 day left or something.

I have also had horses with timers messed up.

Minobu Tetsuhara tried to bring up this issue on broken horse timers, but at the time few people were documenting it very well.  Also people keep trying to tie it to creature counts and excess animals. It's not tied to creature counts, its random animals with timers that are broken. All the other mares on my deed had "normal" pregnancies, except poor Silverpie, who  was pregnant for a total of 28 days even though she was supposed to deliver in less than seven (seven wurm weeks = 6.125 real life days. Even though it is "only a rough estimate," there is a huge difference between 6.125 days and 28 days. That's just a broken timer.)

October 8: The Venerable fat Silverpie and the Aged fat Cactusraid get intimate. The Venerable fat Silverpie will probably give birth in a while!

October 8: She will deliver in about 7.

October 12:  She will deliver in about 6.

October 14: She will deliver in about 6.

October 16: She will deliver in about 6.

October 18: She will deliver in about 5.

October 20: She will deliver in about 5.

October 22: She will deliver in about 4.

October 24:  She will deliver in about 3.

October 26: She will deliver in about 2.

October 28: She will deliver in about 1.

November 2: She will deliver in about 1.

November 5:  Venerable fat Silverpie gives birth to Young Walkingnanook!

28 days for a pregnancy due to last 7 days.

It's so very hard to test this type of issue as it doesn't seem to happen all the time or all the time with the same horses, etc etc.  One thing I've always 'suspected' is that server restarts and/or crashes may come into play with any of the timers.

For those of you taking such good notes with times and days, would you mind also including any server ups and downs you recall during those periods?

I'll try to watch my herd as well as you do to see if I can catch any of this oddity.

Thank you in advance!

Well, in my instance, [02:37:33] The server has been up 5 days, 21 hours and 56 minutes..  And I have a second mare that was bred on the 17th by a friend for me.  She said at the breeding that Wildrage showed 5 days delivery.  That was in the morning of the 17th of November.   These are my records from when I logged in that day and afterward.

after speeding through the first few days, they both seem to be at a bit of stasis

I didn't keep notes like the folks here have but one of my hell horses took over 2 weeks for an 8 day pregnancy. I have not paid enough attention to the others enough to note this sort of oddity. The mare was a wild caught and venerable when bred for the last three times, likely why I paid as much notice because she's not cared for.

She ultimately did give me another good foal before passing from this digital plane and on to her next.

For those of you taking such good notes with times and days, would you mind also including any server ups and downs you recall during those periods?

I remember thinking to myself, "oh its maybe like the broken timers after they give birth (won't breed again in 24 hours as intended, needs a server restart). A server restart will likely fix this one too" so running to check after each restart (in 28 days, there were several) but each time the server reset seemed to have no effect.  I also tried taking the horse out for a ride off deed, moving a long way off then returning to her pen.

One thing I possibly noticed, was that in my cases it seemed to most effect venerable mares, and possibly specifically ones being Cared for.  Silverpie in particular is an Cared horse I inherited from a longtime veteran, and I thought like Saraflea she might have been over three years old.

I was wondering, in extending the horse's lifespan, if it may have simply "slowed down all time for that animal", like it was in a one-fourth time rate speed dimension all its own? So the horse lives 4X longer, eats 4X slower, goes through all stages/effects at .25 time rate? Howeverm not all my Cared venerable mares seem to have the issue so that kind of shot down that idea in my mind. Unless they each get some random time variable and some are not as long as others.

The reason got longer pregnancy can be related to the cap of non aggro animals. Due to the lack of space for one to spawn.

Doesn't explain why the delivery went from 5 to 3 in 12 hours though; even if she did finally have the foal at 5 days.

This does not explain why I have 10 other mares that are having their foals on time, and I can keep breeding more, but i have one particular mare that sits at 6 days for a week, then at 5 days for a week, then at 4 days for a week.  Also server restarts would "clear out" some spaces (when animal caps were the cause, you could always breed a lot immediately after a restart). But server restarts have NO EFFECT on the individual animal that has a broken timer.

This comes up every time the bug is reported.

Animal caps have nothing to do with certain animals having BROKEN TIMERS.

Otherwise it would be affecting animal pregnancies across the board.

I have other mares that are all progressing their pregnancies quite normally.
