Posted October 27, 2014 This bug is as old as I can remember and I've not seen a recent post regarding it so hopefully I can 'nudge' the bugfix to a higher slot in the queue. Please fix guards so that they may leave a mine. I also called for guards when I was inside of a mine with an aggressive creature, none responded. I don't think we should 'fix' the problem by attaching mine doors, they should be able to move freely between both layers (so should all creatures for that matter) and the nearest guards should respond, not ones who are the other end of their influence.
