Posted October 18, 2014 This type of trap is successful like once every few years and no one ever complained about it. It has the same affect as when someone locked legionaire in a palisade and killed him, makes it so your enemy cant run. First people to complain about it,,, get over it you died once GG...
Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) I don't need to watch a video to know that a trader item doesn't need to be used in PvP. With your flawed logic res stones shouldn't be used either. Trader sold items used in PvP is good for the game. Edited October 18, 2014 by madnezz
Posted October 20, 2014 With your flawed logic res stones shouldn't be used either. Trader sold items used in PvP is good for the game. Rez stones do not trap people in caves. It's funny how twigs and stones can't be used in an enemies local, but a shaker orb can. Here's a list of Trader Items(Let's see which ones can effect PvP): * 3 farwalker stones Cannot be used in an enemies local. * 3 farwalker twigs Cannot be used in an enemies local. * 3 large magical chests Loot, no effect * 1 personal merchant contract No effect, cannot be dropped afaik. * 3 resurrection stones Chance to keep loot, but your enemy kills you. * 3 Rods of Transmutation No effect * 1 settlement form I'm sure we all know settlements are a big thing when conquering areas. * 3 shaker orbs Can be used to trap, basically a fast-cast Strongwall * 3 sleep powders Not much effect, unless you count sleep bonus' stamina regen. * 3 small magical chests Loot * 3 steel and flints Not much effect * 1 trader contract No effect, Cannot be dropped afaik. * 3 tuning forks of metal detection No effect. Most of these items are already useless or cannot be used in PvP. Shaker Orbs should get a timer or become useless in an enemies local.
Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) They should be removed. We have mag and lib priests to collapse tilessame for farwalker stones/twigs. We have meditation and karma for that Edited October 20, 2014 by Stinky
Posted October 20, 2014 +1 for a short timer. Maybe 10 seconds to allow for some sort of interrupt, wouldn't do much though.
Posted October 20, 2014 Just add a timer just like strongwall. make it 1 minute while enemies are in local. I'm not from chaos and I havn't seen any vid of it being used, but it seems like a rather overpowered unintended game mechanic if used properly.
