Would make sense since players fall on much less slopes than 40, so should dirt.

My only problem is that this has been 40 since forever and to only change it now without warning is a bit harsh.

As much as I respect a GM responding can we get a dev to also?

It is by design and not a bug as SmeJack said.

If you wanna make flatraising almost impossible at least increase the skillgain of levelling.

Where's the connection with flatraising becoming "almost impossible"? The change affected dropping dirt, afaict from the thread - and that just means you have to drop more often before flattening, unless I miss something.

That would require full patch notes. :-P We don't have none those critters round here.

I wonder if JK on elevation had any part in this sudden realism change...

Were the devs inspired by someone by any chance?

Or did you guys think of this all by yourself?

I'm glad i recently got this one tile with clay around flat. Even with 40 slope that was a lot of dirt dropped into the sea.

I really think some explanation is due.  What was the reasoning behind this?  Changing the very laws of nature with no information is mighty significant.

I'm not upset about anything it did to me in my terraforming work, but just want to know why this happened and why it was not published.
