Following a short registration and social period, we will open with a non-skill based triathalon, where everyone will have as close to an equal chance as we could determine.It will start with a short swim, followed by a rowboat trip, followed by a bull race. The afternoon festivities will focus on the Iron Man competition. This will have 3 stages: Stage 1: Tree Carry; contestants will carry a felled tree for 30 tiles.Stage 2: Cart pull up and over the hillStage 3: Loaded Cart Pull: Racers will start with a large cart loaded with 30 rock shards. Every 5 tiles will be a pile of rock shards. Racer may add as many or as few rock shards (up to20) as he desires at each point, and may drop along the way. Score will be a combination of time and weight pulled across the finish. Final score will be determined by adding the time of the first 2 events and the score of the third. In the downtime, there will be a few forges and iron available for imping. etc as players desire. Following the Saturday races,, there will be a local, live auction, where players may auction their wares.Bring your stuff and cash. Items will be sold 1 at a time using a standard rl auction format. Buyer agrees to pay on the spot, or as requested by purchaser. Sunday activities will begin at appx the same time, and will consist of a bare knuckle sparring contest. This is a winner-continues, last man standing tournament. we anticipate this continuing for a few hours. Do not dismay if you can not make the start time, as events should continue throughout the day, and registration will be allowed.as available. We will supply limited housing and beds, but there is a large are for tents, and lockable chests will be supplied as long as supplies last. IWurm lacks in a couple of aspects, but we can all agree, there is no shortage of E-Peen. In celebration of the end of the fall season and worldwide celebration of Octoberfest, we will attempt to hold the first annual Wurm's Toughest Man (or woman) Competition The event will be held over 2 days..Saturday, October 18, and Sunday October 19. October 25 and 26th. Saturday's Mornings festivities will begin with a coast to Deli rowboat race. Participants will leave the shore at Lilly Beach, and sail south, across the border into Deli, and back. Rowboats will be supplied. This is will be a Single Tier Competition, with heats held based on the number of participants. Saturday afternoon will be the Mouth of the Bay Triathalon.. consisting of 3 legs.. a swim, tree carry, and cart pull. Sunday's Celebration will be a skill-tiered, no-holds barred, bare knuckle, butt naked, sparring contest, held at the open Lilly Beach, to eliminate lag. I see this a Last man standing event, meaning the winner of the first event continues on until he is knocked off. Participants will be allowed only 1 loss, and a match ends at the first man wounded (appx 5 minutes in recent test).This could be followed by challenge matches if desired. There will be individual event titles as well as overall champions based on strength/skill levels Success will be based on participation. I estimate, for this to be fun, we need at least 30 participants in each event. To get a feel for interest, please respond to the poll. Posted October 1, 2014 Ah reminds me of the iron wurmian contest we held at a summer festival, where it was just a flat-out race across about 1/4 of inde, no horses, gear, or boats (navigation being the key). Only one person made it the first year without dying. Posted October 14, 2014 Although the response has been positive, I still have have no one saying they will show up.This feels like a fun event to me, but will suck with 4 participants.
