Fight is this Saturday 30th of August 2014 at 11 pm central EU time / 10 pm UK / 5 pm Eastern US / 2 pm Western US, (tomorrow as of this post)

 

 

If for some reason there's a mixup or misunderstanding about the fight time we're going with the auction timer.

 

Please show up at least 15 minutes before the announced time so that there is minimal delay in starting, we will not wait for late shows.

 

Meeting location is at the crossroads at Dragon's Keep, J15 on the ingame map, X18 Y26 on the community map. The meeting location is not the same as the fighting location, so we will move together to the fight spot at the announced time. We're keeping the precise spot secret until a couple of hours before the fight. We will  try to have some horses for people who arrive from other servers available for pickup at Hedgehound Bounds (J14) and/or Reddit Harbor. If you need a horse please mention it in this thread (including where you want to pick it up) and make sure to be there at least 30 minutes before the meeting time.

 

Loot

 

Bone and skull will get rolled and so will the valrei item if it drops (low drop chance, but it might happen). We probably won't roll corpse and butcher bits, but meat will be given out for those who'd like a piece.

 

All 70fs+ fighters will get in the loot raffle as long as they sign up and get their kill registered on http://wurm.bdew.net/ (if there's any bugs with kill credit we'll sort that out manually). Only main chars gets a roll, alts don't get rolls. If you bring more than one fighter you will still only get one roll. If you sign up as a fighter we might request you to show your 70 (or 90) skill title in case there's any doubts. Please check your name is on the loot raffle sheet when we post the link in local after the fight.

 

The list of signups is here: here - please make sure you are on it before we begin the fight. If your fighter's name is different from your forum name please mention that. When you sign up please state your characters name and whether you have 70fs or not.

 

Alts and sub-70fs players are welcome to be in local for blood+hide drops as well as taking a swing at the kyklops during the last half of the fight.

 

Since we'll be plenty of people for the kill we will not do alliance invites for the fight. This means a bit less effective healing, so if your health drop below 50-60% make sure to back out (we need to rotate fight slots anyway) We will also not do village invites, so if you want a respawn point nearby make sure to bring a tent.

 

General information

• Public fights tend to attract a lot of people - usually many more than is actually needed to kill the unique. It's not unusual with 100+ people in local.
  
• There will be serious lag. You might want to reduce settings and re-log before the fight.
  
• People will bring alts. This is perfectly ok. Alts will not get loot rolls. Please don't park alts too close to the fight area.
  
• The fight may not start exactly at the announced time. This is usually due to unforeseen logistics issues or complications pulling the unique.
  
• Don't arrive late. Showing up at least 15 minutes before the meeting time is a requirement, not a suggestion.
  
• Loot rolls are being done the way the organizers have deemed best based on experience organizing a lot of fights previously.
  
• Don't show up with a negative or arrogant attitude. Complaints and sarcastic/snide remarks will not be well received. 
  
• None of this is up for discussion during the event, but you can make suggestions before and after the fight here on the forum.
  

(apologies if any of this sounds harsh, but we've found things run a lot smoother when everyone knows what to expect)
