No dragging water from fountain to container > carry to much? Fill works

So I am trying to move water from an rare ornate fountain to a water skin. First drag works, I poured the water on the ground, and the second time I get the message "You cannot carry that much." Activating the water skin and filling does work.

To drag water out of a container, you have to be strong enough to carry *all* of the water.  This is not possible from a full fountain, but can be done from a well.

 

I expect on the first drag, the fountain was still filling ?

There's a workaround: try to drag the water from the fountain to a barrel that is on a cart, then drag from it.

Okey I did a test with dragging water from the fountain into;

A small barrel = nice filled off

A empty ornate fountain = full 1125kg moved

A quiver = carrying to much

So... everything larger then 2.5kg I can carry? Not as comment on you guys response but to serious wogic :S

when you have the container in inventory it will check your strength for all of it like Seara said (i am assuming you had the waterskin on you),

dragging from container to container not in inventory bypasses that check for liquids only.

 

the water as an item is not split when moving, it is split on the container receiving - hence it looks so way off when transferring water from fountain to fountain.
