Posted July 31, 2014 Basically a lottery with entries fueled by an amount of karma (1000?). Not an equal chance for all options, most of the more common possibilities would be small rewards: ten iron, iron lump, etc. However, some really nice stuff at very low probabilities. Offhand Id see this as some massive stone wheel with glowing runes, maybe player-craftable using some rare item as a key component.
Posted July 31, 2014 too much karma, too little rewards. If made RIGHT, then it could work.If it can't be done right, then -1.
Posted August 1, 2014 I actually don't mind the idea if done correctly.I think the game needs some more basic tools/mini games like this. Rolf provides the tools and the players can go from there. Can almost picture a tavern/gathering on freedom where players get together.DiceCardsMini gamesPlayer 1 sends an invite to Player 2, opens up a trade style window, both players wager/roll/accept. Outcomes decided and coin comes from inventory or bank.We already have /random but would be kewl to see other things. But don't mind me I'm Australian...
Posted August 1, 2014 Oh Lord yes to dice and cards... granted /random is nice and a good step in the right direction, but its still a basic step.
Posted August 1, 2014 Can't. The problem here is, any game with a real money economy starts treading on thin ice when they introduce literal gambling. You need specific licenses in several countries to have any kind of real money gambling, so this would get really messy really fast.
Posted August 1, 2014 Even if the requirement for coin was removed and players decided to "gift" each other later? ie just a pair of dice that show values when used.
