Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) why just chain fence and not the rest? Edit: I guess we are talking bottom floor here? Edited July 5, 2014 by Kegan
Posted July 5, 2014 why just chain fence and not the rest? Edit: I guess we are talking bottom floor here? Chain fences are the latest addition, and were not added as a fence type for structures. And no, talking about upper floors (e.g. not ground floor)

Posted July 6, 2014 What's with the antimatter shields surrounding chain link fences? I'd like to stand a lot closer to them please!
Posted July 6, 2014 Always good when adding more "wall" types for buildings. Now we just need the ability to make a wall only have 2 sides and not need all 4 to build the next floor up. Think walkway for that or underpass where it only has two sides and no arches at the entrances.
Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) Im confused, is it a potential exploit or is it an exploit? Edited July 6, 2014 by Ruger

Posted July 6, 2014 I have recently built a lot of chain fences along one side of my road down into my deed, as well as starting some along the road edge of a steep terraced drop off. They are really great for providing fall protection as well as keeping the view of the distant vistas unobscured. They also look pretty nice and might be a good application for upper floors where this same effect is desired. I will probably build one for this purpose to check out the look once they are properly available. Nice addition to the game, either way. =Ayes=
Posted July 7, 2014 Chain fences are the latest addition, and were not added as a fence type for structures. And no, talking about upper floors (e.g. not ground floor) Can we get the ability to build tall iron fences and tall iron fence gates on bottom floors? they look like they'd be able to support a story above and they take a good chunk of materials to make
Posted July 7, 2014 Can we get the ability to build tall iron fences and tall iron fence gates on bottom floors? they look like they'd be able to support a story above and they take a good chunk of materials to make Would love to see this happen. I had designed a house with this on the 3D house planner thing, only to find it didn't work in-game. Granted, they're probably stored as fences in some database so it might be more complicated than I can really imagine since they need to have different properties than a wall, but I'd still really like to see it happen
Posted July 7, 2014 I imagine fences on ground floor are not allowed due to donut houses and unbreakable fences thusly

Posted July 17, 2014 Chain fences in upper floors of structure are working for me now, but when completed the chain is really low - even dipping below the floor level. Here are some pics, sorry for terrible graphics QL Angle1:Angle2:
