Error opening connection to patch server

Recommended Posts

Hello, having problems playing today. When I launch the startup it says "Downloadling 0%" and is stuck at that. Also, when checking pack updates section I see "Update failed! (Error opening connection to patch server.)" Was playing fine earlier today and took a few hours break and came back to this happening

So far have tried the following with no success: Disabled AV completely, reset network adapter, deleted Wurm and attempted to re-install. Also, I can not access any of the wiki pages on multiple browsers. Could this be an issue with my ISP? We lost service for considerable amount of time here the other day, but all other games/internet works fine.

Contacted the ISP today, they told me that the outage was caused by bad equipment and a temporary fix was put in place that interferes with some games and P2P applications. Not client/Wurm related.
