Posted June 17, 2014 No. The geography of the Wurm world is already too sprawling, it would be preferrable if they changed it completely instead of sewing the loose ends together. Besides, people have placed their deeds where they are now because of the location so it'd screw people over (personally I don't care, but we'd see a lot of frowning faces. It's just not sensible and would be a thousand times worse than when they replaced Samling with Freedom Market). Perhaps it's time instead for a better traversing system? For example the standardized "You have reached a border, choose which server to go to" that most other games have. Fits with the lore? Perhaps not, but boats are terrible either way. Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) I love the idea of connecting Prist to chaos. Here's why: It opens up the dynamic where people can choose to risk a chaos run for shorter arrival time to old cluster, but by no means forces anyone as the slow route is still available. And yes, I say this as a PvE player. And to those saying people have placed deeds based on flat world: Celebration and Pristine are screwed backwater servers due to how devs chose to connect things. Posted June 17, 2014 I voted something else. I personally would prefer the "quick travel" menu suggested by (i think it was) Kegan and other people. Sail to border, get asked which server you wanna go to. But in case that won't happen, i'd rather have Chaos north of Xanadu, linking West to Inde, east to Pristine. Then have current freedom clusters link as currently+ round world (inde to cele), Pristine would link east to Inde, Release East to Deli.That way people in current freedom wouldn't have to chose to sail through huge xanadu, or risk having to sail through chaos (also quite big) to go to pristine. Posted June 17, 2014 Making Wurm round now would make it a tiny planet, barely an asteroid. Get used to the the fact that it is a medieval simulation and travel will always be slow. Whats the logic and/or realism of leaving celebration by some point at west side, end in some point at east side of Xanadu, then leave Xanadu from exact same point on east side and end in some point at deliverance west side? You seem to be forgetting that it's not a direct route, the release notes said sailors had found routes between maincluster islands and Xanadu. Just because the edge of the server cuts a bunch of travel "between" the servers, doesn't make it illogical, just removed pointless open ocean sailing for the purpose of player contentment Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
