Failed payments

Last registered failed paypal order:  4th May 2012

As you probably understand our major (usually only) source of income is from the online web payments via the web shop. For that we use external payment systems (currently only paypal). It does mean that we take the functionality of the payment systems very seriously. We are aware of the impact malfunctioning payments have on the faith, goodwill and trust in the game and the company.

Normally there are no problems whatsoever, but sometimes those payment systems fail and we can not do anything about it.

We are not a large company at the moment and are pressed for resources and time. There is only one person employed in the company. We appreciate your contributing economically to the game, since this will help us get to the point where we among other things can afford a proper customer support.

Up until then however, the system is sensitive to problems with payments. Our GM's do not have access to the economic backend and may not create silver or premium time.

This means that if a payment fails you may have to wait a while until it may be processed manually. During those times that there are glitches with payments we ask you to please be patient. We do have good logs and records of what is happening and your payment will never be lost.

If your payment has not been handled after the first day after a weekend please email payment@wurmonline.com with your concern and we will look into the matter and get back to you asap.

A good idea may be to purchase silver and premium before the weekend arrives which usually means that the matter is sorted out before friday evening.

Today we are experiencing problems with the shop and PayPal but are busy sorting it out. No payments will be lost.

UPDATE: The shop is now working properly again. Payments made during these hours will be handled during the next hour or so as PayPal resends the transactions.

We've had issues with the payment system the last 36 hours but it's resolved now and you should have received any premium time and silver coins you've paid for. We didn't change anything so I figure they had issues. It seems to happen once every year or so.

We've had some issues the last few days with PayPal. They have added a payment server which was blocked in our firewall. Payments should go through properly without delay again.

Today we are experiencing some issues with one of the PayPal servers which has resulted in a number of payments having to be handled manually. Hopefully it has been resolved by now. We notice when it happens and will stay on the lookout for more but it may still take several hours, especially when we're out of office.

We are currently having problems with PayPal orders and are investigating. You will receive your orders as soon as possible.

Had same sudden PayPal irresponsiveness today as as few weeks ago. System restarted and transactions being processed now.
