Second half I step into an altar radius and you can see what happens for yourself. Yes the sample size is small, feel free to test it yourself if you'd like better data. The altar in question is a q40 Stone Altar at 10 tiles distance. No way to know from this if it influences power. But with a good quality altar it means you can start vessel grinding much earlier than 50 channeling provided SB and gems.
